SafeCharge - Securing Your Profitability

Fraud Screening

SafeCharge offers over 15 modules and 150 tests for fraud detection, including online screening and 3rd party checks.

Address Verification Service (AVS):

A system used to verify the address of the person claiming to own the credit card. The system will check the billing address of the card provided by the user with the address on file at the credit card company. AVS is available both in the US and Canada.

Age Verification:

Required in some jurisdictions, this feature allows merchants to verify that a cardholder is above the age required by the website to access its content. As a result of country restrictions for age limits, this service has proven to be extremely helpful in determining an end-user's age. The procedure includes a SafeCharge security service checking databases for age matches and sending an ID check report flagged with yes/no matches. Merchants can then accept or decline, review transactions and accept or reject the end - user's age.

Affiliate Check

Developed in house and fully integrated into the Safecharge database, the Affiliate Fraud Detector checks and indicates abnormal characteristics in comparison to a merchant's typical processing distribution as well as to general processing attributes: credit card type, email domains, target markets, etc.

CVV2 (Card Verification Value)

Visa term for the three-digit code printed next to the card number in the signature panel and used as part of the authorization process.
