SafeCharge’s tokenization technology provides a credit card number representation in the form of a token. Once credit card details are received, SafeCharge securely stores them in its PCI compliant vault where they are encrypted and a token is generated. The merchant receives the encrypted token and is able to provide repeat customers with a seamless user experience as previous purchasing details have been recorded. From a security perspective, tokenization prevents hackers from trying to steal sensitive payment information from merchants as the credit card numbers are no longer in the merchant’s database.
Unique user profiles
SafeCharge provides merchants with an additional descoping solution through unique user profiles that include merchant-generated unique user ID and payment details. The first time a customer processes a transaction through the advanced payment page, SafeCharge stores their unique user profile information relieving merchants of their PCI Burden. For subsequent transactions through the advanced payment page, SafeCharge retrieves payment details according to the customer’s unique user ID.
